Melville Intermediate - Boys Rugby Recount 3

On Tuesday 16th of June it was time for the Inter-Intermediate Rugby Tournament at Bedford Park in Matamata. Mr Webb was taking the team with help from Liams F's Dad and Liam L's Dad. Mr Webb hired a rent-a-dent (a Van) and we drove with Miss Moss to Matamata. Miss Moss was our medic as well. When we got there there were three fields. Our first game was at 10:00am. We played Tokoroa Intermediate. It was a really hard game, Tokoroa scored the first try in the first half. In the second half in the last minute Thamer scored our try, we both missed the conversions to it was a tie 5-5. Our second game was against Cambridge Intermediate. They thrashed us 14-0. We missed tackles and had lots of opportunities but we did not take them. Our last game was at 1:00pm we played against Fairfield Intermediate. If we won that game then we would have made it into the Semi-Finals. The score was 5-0 to Fairfield. Rex dived for a tackle and saved a certain try. We had to then have a play off game against Morrinsville. We were very tired. Morrinsville chipped it high in the air right over the try line and scored - the final score in that game was 5-0. Berkley or Te Awamutu won the competition. We made our way back to School and gave back the Rugby Jerseys and our School jackets, report by Dylan. The footage in this video is the Melville Intermediate game against Cambridge Intermediate.
