Melville Intermediate - Traditional Maori Instruments 4

Footage of Room Eight students using a variety of traditional Maori instruments for a project that they are working with Matua Hone with. Filmed on 12th November 2010.

On Wednesday we had a class with Mauta Hone involving traditional Maori Instruments (Taonga Puoro). Such as Putatara, Karanga Manu, Putorino, Koauau, Purerehua, Porotiti, Bone and Hue from New Zealand. We had never played any of these instruments that Matua Hone brought in for us to try. It was a pleasure for us to experience them especially ones from our home country. Chase.
